I found these amazing beads today!! I Love the sparkles and fluorescent colours, especially against the black. I must get beading!!!

Ribbon Hunting

Busy Beading

Sorry I didn't post yesterday, I've been busy beading!! I'm half way through my current piece and loving it!! I've used a different technique, which I'm sure you'll love!! Can't wait to show you. Watch this space as I should be finished soon.
I'm getting a little ambitious and thinking about my next necklace.  I love yellow, black and white together. I must try and incorporate this colour scheme into my next design. Hope you are all having a fabulous weekend!!

My favourite Cushions

I bought these cushions a few weeks ago and absolutely love them!! The print is a little bohemian/ chic! The colours go with everything!! It's so nice to have a bit of colour in your home! The designers name is Emma Cleine, check out her blog at http://lumiereartandco.blogspot.com.au/

Stage 2

So I was right, I've managed to incorporate fluorescent pink into the design. I just couldn't resist. I'm really loving the outcome though. Something a little mysterious about this design that I love! Not sure how I'll finish it off, whether to keep it as a strand of beads or to add the ribbon? Decisions, decisions....

Colour Matching

Sometimes the hardest thing in designing a necklace is getting the colours right. There is something about these natural tones that grab me. I always seem to manage to incorporate some type of bright fluorescent  colour. Hopefully I'm just going through a phase. I really love these tones but I can almost guarantee I'll change the pallet when I'm stringing beads today. I'm not very good at sticking to a plan. I guess there is something in my personality that likes to rebel!! Watch this space for stage 2 of my design.

A little pick-me-up...

Everyday should start with a STRONG coffee!! I feel like I could drink 20!!I need a pick-me-up, I just can't seem to get Sydney off the brain Grrrrr Not sure I'm going to be very productive today. Maybe I might just drink my way around coffee shops....

Back to Arty Melbourne

Sorry I haven't updated for a couple of days, I've had a whirlwind of a weekend!! I'm back in Melbourne and so sad to leave Sydney. I found this trip so inspiring, meeting new people that are so welcoming and interested in life!! I feel so grateful for my friends and family!! My friend picked me up from Melbourne airport this evening and we headed straight for oysters and champagne, there is always a reason to celebrate!!! To our surprise the Gertrude Street Projection Festival had commenced, it's on for the next 10 days and I highly recommend going and having a sneak peak!! I've updated a few photos, it's on until the 29th July. Windows, lane-way walls, footpaths, shop interiors, tree trunks, and whole buildings are lit up with art installations, created by projection artists, community groups and individuals. The event is free 6pm- midnight. Highly recommended!!
I'm getting flooded with ideas for my next piece, this weekend has truly been inspirational! This week is going to be a busy one!! Time to take action on all those thoughts! Hope you all had a great weekend!!

Collaborate....

Collaborating some ideas for my next piece, this one reminds me of a Mexican Teepee that I saw on my holiday in Los Cabos.

Night tribe beads

I like to call these my Night Tribe beads..... I feel like I could wear these beads with nearly any outfit! They are quite long so I can double them over and wear them short and they still look amazing!! Hope you like!!

Bondi to Bronte....

On our walk back from Bronte the sky had the most amazing colours. The Tamarama Surf Life Saving Club is painted yellow and looked divine against the sunset. Sydney is so special at this time of year!

Sweet Sydney

SYDNEY..... I've arrived!!!! The sun is shinning the weather is sweet! About to do the Bondi to Bronte walk. I love SYDNEY!!!

Mykonos inspired....

This necklace was inspired by my holiday to Mykonos. I love wearing my beads so they are long and flowing! The little hint of pink lifts the overall feel. It's fun to watch my bead collection grow.... I'm working on my next project which I hope excites you as much as it excites me! Watch this space new pics to come....  Off to Sydney for the week, hoping to find some different pieces for the next collection....stay tuned.....

Inspiration

I think my next piece will be inspired by my holiday to Mykonos! I love the blue and white together it seems so refreshing and makes me feel like I'm on summer holidays!!

A present for my friend

I was out with my friend when her beads broke! Originally they were just a strand of yellow beads. I have re-threaded them and added a little bit of "spunk"... I think the black ribbon makes them feel quite feminine and allows you to wear them long or short! I love the splash of aquamarine to give them a little edge! I hope you like!
